Someone said this to me and I have never forgotten it: “Ministry to ministers is ministry to multitudes.” Recently I was appointed to be a board member of Pastoral Training Institute of Africa and it has been a joy to see ministers being trained to plant churches all over rural Africa. I know that one of these days as I enjoy God in eternity, I will be standing next to brothers and sisters from these distant lands because I took part in it. What a day that will be. This year I was scheduled to travel to Zimbabwe, Zambia, and Swaziland in partnership with World Vision and their efforts to bring clean water to everyone in the world. Providing clean water brings a smile to Jesus ( Mat 25:40). When you read John 11 one thing stands out: death grieves Jesus and it should grieve us too. This year alone according to Worldometer 329,047 deaths have been caused by water related and 800,935,877 people have no access to a safe drinking water source. I would not be pastoring in Williamsport if it wasn’t because of the mission addiction that God gave me during my times in Ywam. I did my discipleship training in Bulawayo and one of my leaders was Suku. We led mission trips to Mozambique the country I was in right before I came to the USA. Suku and her family remained in Mozambique and they have been doing amazing work there. She specifically is involved in community development where she runs a women’s and children’s literacy center. It has been a joy to support her work and would love you to join me.
