Essentials 2: How to be sure you are a Christian

As we continue to in our Essentials Series, this week we deal with how to be sure you are saved. As we examine the Scriptures it is evident that God wants us to walk in confidence and full assurance of our salvation. While there are many ways we can tackle this subject Pastor Raphael shows from 1 John how the grounds of our faith are found within the Godhead. The Son was crucified on our behalf, the Father sent the Son and received the payment for our sin and the Holy Spirit shines the light on Christ's finished work . Hope this Message is a blessing to you.

Essentials 1: How to Become a Christian

We began our new Series Christian Essentials today. In this message Pastor Raphael explores Phillipians 3:1-11 to show that the essence of being a Christian is not Creed, Code of Conduct and Cult but knowing Christ himself. A Christian is someone who knows God as father, friend, trusts Jesus as savior and obeys him as Lord. Hope this is a blessing to you.

God's Heart for Orphans

Scripture is clear in Psalm 685-6 that God is a Father to the fatherless and protector of widows this is who he is in his holy habitation. This is not his side job, but main work. He places the solitary in a home and does it through salvation and orphan care. As we grow in our awarenes of what he has done for us we grow in our imitating hid heart towards the fatherless. We pray that this message is a blessing for you.

Faith 10: A Call for Intercession

In our Series on Faith: Examining the life of Abraham this week we looked at Genesis 18:16-33. Like Abraham God's people have a responsibility of intercessory prayer for their families, the righteous and the lost. They also have a responsibility of a consistent spiritual witness warning them of the grace that has come in Jesus and the wrath that is to come. Hope this message is a blessing to you.

Faith 8: A Covenant Confirmed

In Genesis 17 God appears to Abraham after 25 years of waiting for the promise of a son and confirms his covenant he made with him. As we go through the story of Abraham it's evident that God is the hero of the story and has grace and mercy for Abraham and for us. Pastor Raphael explores the requirements that God expects from Abraham and how that applies to us. We hope this message blesses you.

A Culture of Hospitality

Romans 15:7 says "Therefore welcome one another as Christ has welcomed you, for the glory of God." Pastor Raphael examines this verse to connect a culture of hospitality with the gospel. God is a God of welcome through the gospel, we are welcomed people and as a result, we should welcome others. We hope this is a blessing to you

Faith 4: God’s Faithfulness in Our failure

As we continue our series on Faith, pastor Raphael examines Genesis 12:10-13:4 to show us how even when Abraham doubted God and failed God was still faithful to him. God commitment towards us is greater than ours to him and it is his commitment to us that leads us to deeper commitment to Him. We hope you are blessed by this message.

Faith 3: A Call to Go

According to the Old Testament Scholar Marvin. R Wilson "faith is the call to step bodly into tommorow, to embrace the new with confidence that every new day would prove to be a meeting place with the holy and eternal God." Such was the life of Abraham as shown in Genesis 12:1-9. Listen to the message on this passage by Pastor Raphael as he expounds on this passage and applies it to our lives today.

Faith 2: Abraham's background

Abraham was a great man of faith, yet it is in light of his background that God Gloriously shines in his calling him. The God who showed up in a dark and void world, unformed and unfilled can walk into any background, transform and fill it with his glory. Learn more as Pastor Raphael looks at Genesis 11:27-32, examining Abraham's background and applying it to our own faith journeys.

Faith series: Reasons For Faith

Faith series: Reasons For Faith

As we kick off the series on faith pastor Raphael gives some of the reasons why faith is important to the life of a Christian.  In Abraham, we find the faith and failures of a man like us who lived in a gap between promise and reality.  More than other figures in the bible he knew what it meant to live by faith in the middle of overwhelming circumstances. Don't miss out on the next weeks as we discover more what it means to live by faith.
